Field agent- treatment

We are looking for field agent- treatment to apply product to roadside catch basins throughout different areas (Peel, Halton, Barrie, Ottawa, Chatham). These services are delivered under contract to regional health units in order to prevent the development of mosquito species most implicated in the transmission of West Nile Virus during the summer months.

Technicians will be trained and receive a Pesticide Applicator’s License. They will use GPS technology to fulfill the contract requirements.

Technicians will be trained to drive a scooter and will be required to apply for the scooter driver licence M (IF NEEDED on the contract). *Company provides scooters, bicycle, Ebike or van to do the treatment. The way of treatment change depending on the contract.

GDG Canada Inc. is a sustainable applied science group dedicated to managing the risk from West Nile virus and other vector borne diseases.

Functions
Under the supervision of the project coordinator, the West Nile virus technician is responsible for the application of larvicide to roadside catch basins, to record and send all treatment data daily to our servers so we can track and verify the progression of the treatments. They will also be subject to internal audits for quality of field work and data entry.

Requirements
•Driver license : M (if by scooter)

Salary and Benefits
Salary of 19.00$ / hour
