The biological control of biting insects has been taking place for decades now in North America, but the chemical products used in the past were extremely harmful for the environment. It is now possible to control biting insects biologically with a nuisance reduction rate of 80% or higher, as early as during the first year of treatment.

Selective biological control is the solution

Many municipalities enjoy summertime thanks to a biological biting insect control program, more efficient and safer than one with chemical products, since the product is made from a bacteria naturally found in the environment. Those products based on Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis Israelensis) are now widely used for biting insect control.
